Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” The story of our hearts starts at the beginning of time, in the Garden of Eden. It’s there that the Father started writing our stories; beautiful, creative, and from perfect love in His image. Our stories hold power and purpose, and even though many of our stories have been hindered by pain here on Earth, the Father’s heart is not only to rewrite our stories, but for us to receive help and encouragement from the Holy Spirit to see, know, and believe that He still sees them as the story He started over our hearts in the garden. And more than that, He wants us to see ourselves with Eden eyes, just as He sees us.
If you feel like what is written over your heart’s story is despair, darkness, or even doubt in this season, know the Father sees you and wants you to see yourself and your story through His eyes. The beauty and goodness He originally planned for you is still your inheritance through Christ Jesus.
