Life as a woman, wife, mom, daughter, sister, teacher, ministry leader, (insert any other words to describe ALL the things we do) can have it’s overwhelming moments. The world asks us to wear all the hats and wear them well. But what does God desire from us?
In Luke 10, Jesus corrected Martha because her overwhelming responsibilities became a distraction from what was truly important–Him. In contrast, her sister Mary sat at His feet, ready to listen and learn.
What would it look like if we prioritized the time to sit quietly at the feet of Jesus instead of giving in to anxiety and throwing our hands up in frustration during the overwhelming moments of life?
In this season, maybe the Father is inviting us to take a pause in our own lives, to put down all of our “hats” and do the most important thing–sit as a daughter at her Daddy’s feet.
