A few weeks ago, I was reading about Mary, and I was reminded of the song “No One Ever Cared for Me like Jesus” by Steffany Gretzinger. The chorus says,
“No one ever cared for me like Jesus, His faithful hand has held me all this way
And when I’m old and grey, And all my days are numbered on the earth, Let it be known in you alone, My joy was found.”
I can’t help but think of Mary and her posture before Jesus. Her heart was so devoted to Him. ALL of her trust was in Him. With all of the unrest and uncertainty in our world right now, I just want to be like Mary. Sitting at His feet and listening to His words and heartbeat. Nothing else matters but Him.
Let’s all be Mary’s today! Let’s sit at his feet and listen to His “whispers of love.”
